After last week’s frustrating loss against Park Ridge, Grange were looking to hit the ground running against a team they beat convincingly in the first round.  The continuing bad run of injuries, suspensions and general unavailability of several regulars meant players had to be shoehorned into unfamiliar positions.  Jimmy kept his place in goal, behind a back four of Tungy on the right, Sammy on the left and Watto and Jabbsy in the middle.  Clown made a reappearance in the first team, coming in at defensive central midfield behind the more advanced Bosto and Lewis.  Coach Alan Waller also relieved Watto of his captaincy to free him up for defensive duties and gave the armband to Clown instead, making him not only a circus performer but a thief as well. Another disappointing week for Grange with another loss seeing them drop off the pace for the top spot in the league.  After a good performance at home last week against the Gap we were really expecting more against a Park Ridge side who remain closer to the bottom of the table. Read more

This week Grange hosted close rivals the Gap in the second leg of the Jardine-Clark Trophy.  Coming off a loss at Albany Creek last week, Thistle were looking to improve on a poor performance and a derby match was the perfect time to do so. Read more

Junior Team Photos

The team photos have been scheduled for the Friday 22nd July (in the evening) and on Saturday 23rd July.  A schedule of photo times will be sent to the team managers.

A team photo is provided to each player as part of their season fees.  Parents can also opt for a multipack (similar to what is done for school photos) for an additional $9.50.  Please let the club official know during the photo session if you’d like the multipack.

Football Brisbane have sent a revised fixtures file, that contains the updated fixtures for the remainder of the season.  This file has been loaded into the 2011 Season Information page under the Juniors menu on our website.  Managers and parents are reminded that they should always continue to check the Football Brisbane website for the latest information on fixtures.

The canteen roster has been completed for the remainder of the season.  This can also be found on the 2011 Season Information page under the Juniors menu.
